I started learning the tarot when I was 15, so it been 19 years. I am self taught myself just by learning from books and practicing the tarot on friends at first in my teenage years.  Of course one begins to understand the concepts of the tarot like the teachings of life, the sun, and the moon after it is introduced to the mind. Yes I began to understand things like the court cards and how they relate to people. At deeper levels I learn more about the Waite system and other decks but that is true of any tarot student who travels the royal road.

My learning dramatically increased when I joined Aeclectic tarot in 2002, over the past 7 years I read for people on many different areas of reading application, stuff like many Celtic crosses, past life readings, Halloween readings, even experimented with alien abduction readings.
